I set up my business to ultimately help service users. Having experienced first-hand the inconsistent care my parents received through the home care agency and the care my husband's grandmother received in a care home, I wanted to be able to make a difference by applying my knowledge and skills to help Service Providers develop their governance and risk compliance processes.

I believe that care should be client centred. That service users should have best possible care with the least risk. I do this by helping service providers meet compliance standards, effectively manage their processes and set up a system of continuous improvement as part of their business strategy. Moving away from task-driven processes to person centred. I work with the service providers and their staff to empower them to implement the standards with confidence.
Being an independent consultant means it will always be me you work with, and not a different person each time. I work with each client by getting to know how their business works, and planning with the client what steps to take.
I know how difficult it is to keep abreast of changes, and the amount of information that needs to be assimilated. I signpost you to relevant important or interesting information that impacts the sector. I subscribe with many agencies, and therefore have the latest up-dates sent to me which I can disseminate to you.

Working with Care Homes I came to learn a lot about Dementia. Research uncovered that there was very little support for the black and Asian minority communities. I have therefore created Dementia Activity (www.dementiaactivity.com) which develops and resources products appropriate for people with Dementia but which can be used by any community group.
