Early Years - Self-Evaluation Guidance Manual
20 August 2008Following the launch of our VistaPointTM Early Years Foundation Stage, 2008, Compliance Manual in July, we are pleased to announce our new Self-Evaluation Guidance Manual which accompanies it. This new Manual has been developed in response to the new OFSTED Early Years Self-Evaluation Form (SEF) which forms the basis of future OFSTED inspections.
Without wanting to "re-invent the wheel", we have taken the broad structure of the SEF and matched it to our existing Quality System Manuals, principally the Policy Manual and the Forms Library. For each section of the SEF there is a summary of the information needed together with a new cross-reference to any Policy or Record Form that may be relevant to that section. As with our other Manuals, the Self-Evaluation Guidance Manual is supplied in both Manual (hard copy) and CD formats so that customising the pages and the references to the user's own Policies and Forms is a simple exercise. The CD also provides a sound basis for on-line completion of the SEF for OFSTED.
